I've spent much of my life with dogs, from training puppies, working with dog charities,
competing in obedience events and fun agility competitions with my own dogs.
We have 2 very friendly cockapoos, our beloved "bilingual" Dexter, and younger Daphne,
who is rapidly growing into a bear!!
Dexter is my extremely fast agility dog with whom I competed in the UK and have continued
to train here in France. Dexter and I have also taken our “Brevet” in obedience, achieving a
grade of "excellent" and we are now working on Niveau (level) 1. Daphne is in basic training
but is much more laid back about life than Dexter.
My previous experience with dogs includes;
working at a dog rescue sanctuary
working with “Pets as Therapy”
visiting a dementia home each week with my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and cat
training with Gwen Bailey (owner of “The Puppy School”)
training puppies and adult dogs of many breeds from larger dogs such as Staffordshire Bull Terriers and German Shepherds to smaller dogs such as pugs and Shih Tzus.
Many of my holidays have also involved dogs and I have fond memories spending a week in the Canadian Rocky Mountains training to run a pack of 10 dogs with a musher who had competed in the Alaskan Iditarod Trail Sled dog race.
In France , I enjoy helping to fund raise for Les Amis des Animaux and as a result have so far raised 600 Euros from client donations in return for training their dogs.
